Neuromodulators
So what are they?
Web MD says it best: Neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin) block signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can't contract. That makes the wrinkles relax and soften. Botox is most often used on forehead lines, crow's feet (lines around the eye), and frown lines. Wrinkles caused by sun damage and gravity will not respond to Botox.
WHICH NUEROMODULATOR SHOULD YOU GET?
ALL THREE DO THE SAME THING AND ALL THE RESEARCH STUDIES DONE STATE THE EFFICACY/LONGEVITY OF THE NEUROMODULATORS ARE THE SAME ( 3 MONTHS). I HAVE HAD ALL THREE + DO NOT PERSONALLY NOTICE A DIFFERENCE. I HAVE HAD PATIENTS WHO DO STATE THEY NOTICE A DIFFERENCE (MANY TIMES ITS WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN RECEIVING ONE SPECIFIC NEUROMODULATOR FOR MANY YEARS). MY RECOMMENDATION TO MY PATIENT'S IS TO TRY ONE AND KEEP TRACK OF ITS EFFICACY AND DECIDE WHICH ONE THEY LIKE BETTER.
