Best Skincare Tips for Working Out
Maybe you know the feeling — you’re in the middle of an intense workout when you feel drops of sweat start to run down your forehead and you think of your skin.
What are best practices to keep your skin clear and glowing before and after a workout? I’ve put together a sample skincare workout routine for you to keep your best skin yet, both before and after the gym!
If You’re Into Morning Workouts:
Wash your face as normal when you wake up and apply moisturizer (if needed) and SPF. This will keep your skin hydrated while you sweat!
After your workout, cleanse* your face with your preferred cleanser and move forward with the rest of your normal AM regimen. Easy!
If You Prefer Afternoon/Midday Workouts:
Complete your normal AM regimen when you wake up. If you struggle with breakouts be sure to remove any and all makeup prior to working out! Wash your face and use our Toning Pads. Follow up with a moisturizer (if needed) and SPF.
After your workout, cleanse* your face again and follow up with a moisturizer (if needed) and SPF.
Finally, If You Love Evening Workouts:
Again, if you struggle with breakouts remove any and all makeup prior to working out. Apply moisturize, and you’re set!
After your workout, cleanse* your face as soon as possible (this is a great time to double cleanse) and follow up with your normal PM regimen. Easy!
*During these additional cleanses, be sure to use a gentle cleanser, like this one, if you don’t already so you are not over exfoliating/drying out your skin
